Mothering Spaces

Mothering Spaces is a curatorial platform exploring themes and issues around maternity, women’s health and feminine identity through methods of research and curating. Specifically by exploring the multiplicity of maternal works extended by various themes, including, early representations of maternity, women’s health and reproductive issues, the issue of feminine identity that may arise with not being able to, or wanting to be a mother, and so much more.

Mothering spaces is inviting artists from all over to share their projects through this platform once a month. Whether it’s current projects, works in progress, or potential research areas. We want to create an online space in which artists working with themes of maternity, women’s health, female anatomy, reproductive issues, social issues and so much more, can share what their practice is all about. The aim is to put the artist at the forefront, learn more about different practices, and hopefully open doors to networking and collaborations.
